A WIN, WIN, WITH GOD

[ Dealing with Believers When They Do Wrong ] “If a believer does something wrong, go, confront him when the two of you are alone. If he listens to you, you have won back that believer.

Matthew 18:15NOG

Often in life we never really get to take hold of a “win win” situation. It’s not so with God. With God, when we follow His will we are often presented with the very best in “win, win” situations. You ask, “Pastor what are you talking about?”

Well, think about it. God gives us the groundwork, the way, the means to deal with other believers when they do wrong. We don’t have to wonder what it is that we should do. We don’t have to pray for the answer to what we should do. You don’t have to go from friend to friend asking for advice on what you should do. It’s not a mystery. It’s not a hidden secret and its’ not some obscure instruction. God makes it glaringly clear that when a believer does something wrong that we are instructed to “go”, to “confront” when “you two are alone.”

It’s God’s way of saying, “Man up! Be willing to “go!” to that person. Be willing to confront what is “wrong!” Be brave, be humble, be strong, but be willing to do it “alone” with that person. God goes on to say that there is a reward to this process. What is the reward? The reward is that if you will follow God’s instructions you might just win back that believer.

“Believers Matter!” “The Winning Back Of Believers Matters!” It matters to God so it should matter to you.

The very next time that you are confronted with a situation where a believer has done you wrong, or a believer is caught up in doing wrong, be brave, be willing to go, to go alone, to confront that person in order to win them back. If you are winning them back it literally means that they have been won over to someone else’s system of rules.

1 Peter 5:8

Keep your mind clear, and be alert. Your opponent the devil is prowling around like a roaring lion as he looks for someone to devour.
Are you willing to take back from the teeth of the roaring lion that which he has snatched? Be willing.
Decide today saying, “I have decided ahead of time and I commit to be willing to “go”, to “confront”, to “win!” the believer back.
Grace and Peace,
Praise Him All People
